As a premier plastics injection molding company, at Kenmold North America, mold design and manufacturing is one of our core strengths. We have robust processes for creating high-performance, cost-effective custom molds for plastic injection, die-cast, and rubber molding for the automotive, appliance, medical, electronics, packaging, and other industrial markets.

We emphasize good mold design. An optimized mold design allows us to mold parts with greater accuracy and consistency and faster cycle times. With our ingenuity, we can develop molds for complex part designs and accommodate various plastic materials. Using CAD design tools and mold flow analysis software, we can see how the plastic flows into the mold, troubleshoot any problems or inconsistencies, and correct any issues before the tools are built. This upfront work is critical for ensuring mold cavities are filled uniformly and consistently, especially with projects that involve complex geometries, tight tolerances, cosmetic finishes, and unusual materials.

Our tool shop is equipped with the latest high-speed horizontal and vertical machining centers, wire EDMs, drills, grinders, and inspection equipment. We have a staff of more than 50 tooling engineers to build molds for MUD, gas-assist, 2-shot, and insert molding. Along with single cavity molds, we design and make multi-cavity molds for producing multiple parts and part families. We manufacture molds from various materials based on the product lifecycle. Our plastic injection mold-making services are certified to current ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
